What is Diploma in Computer Engineering ?
Diploma (in Computer Engineering) is a six-semester i.e. three years duration course. This diploma course is a base of Bachelors Degree (BE or B.Tech), that means it almost cover all the topics in the syllabus. The only difference in the Diploma and Bachelors Degree is, in Degree some/most of the topics or subjects are in advanced level. Diploma gives you a lot of knowledge about practicals. Diplona in Compputer Engineering offers you to learn more and more programming languages that can be used for building an advanced level of Softwares, Android Applications, dynamic and responsive Websites, etc. In this course you can learn C, C++, JAVA, Advanced JAVA, SQL, JavaScript, Python, Android, PHP, etc widely used programming languages. Eligibility Criteria for Diploma Course
If you thinking about taking admission to diploma course, the following eligibility criteria must be required

For First Year of Post SSC

• The Candidate should be an Indian National;
• Passed 10th Std./SSC examination or its equivalent, with at least 35% aggregate marks.
• Note: Other than Maharashtra State Candidates shall be eligible for Institute quota only.

For Direct Second Year of Post SSC

• The Candidate should be an Indian National;
• Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics /Chemistry / Computer Science /Electronics /Information Technology/ Biology / Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology /Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics / Business Studies/Entrepreneurship (Any of the three). OR 10th + (2 years ITI) shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology. (The Affiliating Body will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc., for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to achieve desired learning outcomes of the programme)
• Note: Other than Maharashtra State Candidates shall be eligible for Institute quota only.  

Is there any scope for Diploma in Computer Engineering ?
Computer Engineers are specially known as IT Engineers. In today's world IT Industry is growing fastly. Different technologies are being explored every day. In today's daily life we are using many such software and different applications. These all softwares and many Android/IOS Applications are developed by the computer engineers. All Online Web based portals and websites are developed and designed by the Web Developer (Web Developer is also a specialist compputer engineer.
In the past 1-2 years we have seen te pendamic of Covid-19 (Corona virus). In that pendamic situation, a lot of people lost their jobs. But the computer engineers were working from home (Commonly known as "Work from Home"). Even then, their jobs were not gone.
Today we see that almost all the work is being done via online mode, so computer engineers are very important.

Job and Salary after completion of Diploma
When you complete your second year or fifth semester successfully, many software / IT companies conduct Campus Selection at your institute.
You can get a job via campus selection if your performance is best. These companies conduct various examination/tests for selection.
Process of the participation in campus selection:

1. Fill the registration form
2. Give Aptitude Test (First Round)
3. Technical Skill Test (Second Round)
4. Interview (Final Round)

If you successfully completed all these rounds the respective company will select you as a Junior Engineer, Trainee Engineer, etc. posts.
Note: The above mentioned rounds are not applicable on every company. Different companies use different procedure to select a right candidate. The above mentioned procedure is a common procedure to conduct campus selection.
Salary: The company will pay Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 4,00,000 per annum.

• What is the fee for a diploma college ?

  ---

  For Government Colleges: The fee is vary from categories that you belongs to.
  For Open Category fee is less than 5,000 Rs per annum.
  For OBC/VJNT/SC/ST and other category the fee is less than 2,000 Rs per annum.
  The fees of private colleges vary according to the respective colleges. The Fees is between 30,000 Rs to 75,000 rs per annum (Fee may be change according to the college).

• Can I change my college and branch after first year ?

  Yes.!
  You can change your college and branch after successfully completed/passed first year (Only after you passed in all subjects). If you have any active backlog then you can't change college and branch.

• Can I get admission in third year if some subjects is back in first year ?

  No.!
  You can't get admission in third year if your first year's subject is back. You have to clear or passed whole first year. If you passed first year then and only then you can get admission in third year.
